Grabbing Data On The Fly

When we're querying a database, we will usually need to press a submit button on a form to pass data to another ASP page, which would generate the query, and return the results. In some situations, this page refresh is just plain annoying and takes too long to complete. In this article, Phanix will describe another way to query a database using a combination of web technologies.

What we’ve just covered in this article is a very powerful, quick, and easy way to retrieve dynamic data from a database, without refreshing the page. This solution is ideal if you’re developing a content management system, such as a book library, article repository or anything else that requires dynamic data.

Of course, this example can be expanded upon and is hopefully just the starting point for hundreds of ideas based around this concept!
