In this article, you've seen how .NET incorporates Windows Installer packages. Additional information about the Windows Installer technology can be found in the Windows documentation (for example, online at here) and in the MSDN help installed with the beta version (here and here).

This article explained the MSI fundamentals. In the second part of this series, we'll look at some advanced options including setup conditions, custom actions, and file type registration.
