Introduction to Flex - More Flex features
(Page 5 of 5 )
Apart from the features shown in the above samples there are a lot more useful features available in Flex to deliver powerful applications.
You can choose different containers and layout managers to lay out your content, and use different types of panels and windows. You can use a range of built-in components available, such as charting components, media components, and dynamic data services. You can create rich effects and behaviors, use various user interface patterns, create styles, drag and drop effects, and many more.
For more examples of Flex code, see the Flex Samples Explorer in http:// flex default install/samples/explorer/explorer.mxml if you've installed Flex. You will find a number of small code samples that show how to access data, set security, apply behaviors, and many other tasks. If you haven't installed Flex, check out the Flex Application Examples available at http://www.macromedia.com/devnet/flex/example_apps.html.
