Some web pages, such as news pages, require the user to look at a calendar in order to appreciate the timing of events. This series shows you how to design a calendar for a web page. This is the first part of an eight-part series.

This is the picture of our simple month's calendar.

This is a simple month's calendar. Let us allow it to be simple so that it will be easy to design. When you know the basics, you will be able to make it as complicated as you want. The first line shows the month and the year. The second line shows the abbreviations of the names of the week. The rest of the lines show the dates of the month.
