Connecting to SQL 2005 Server from the Java Studio Creator - Reviewing the Java Studio Creator IDE

When you click on the program short cut, SUN Java Studio Creator as shown here, which you can access from Start-->All Programs-->Sun Microsystems,

the IDE opens as shown in the next picture.

On the left hand side you find the tree with three principle nodes, Data Sources, EJB, and Web Services. In the center panel you can keep a dynamic link to all your projects as well as create new projects, and modify previous projects. The right hand Dynamic help panel has all the information you may need during development. The View menu item gives you access to everything that can be accessed by the keyboard, assuming that you are good at it.

The menu item Data gives you access for doing a number of things related to Data. You can export, import data, add data sources and data source aliases, export/import EJB sets and you can even start the bundled database.
