In this article we've seen how simple it is to use PHP and its built-in FTP functions to simulate a desktop based FTP application right in our web browser. Maintaining session state between FTP commands is a dubious task, however PHP handles everything "under the covers" for us, which means that we can concentrate on designing web based FTP applications quickly and easily.
