Review: Namo WebEditor 5 - Conclusion

WebEditor 5 is an extremely powerful IDE for creating a wide variety of web pages and applications including those that require database support. Even if you've never designed a web page before, you can use WebEditor 5's WYSIWYG interface and be up and running with your first page within 5 minutes. If you’re a web newbie or even a complete web guru, then WebEditor is sure to have several features that appeal to you and that can save you time.

    Pro's:
    • Has a professional, yet simple and clean development environment that is similar to Office 2000 and Star Office.
    • Is extremely powerful and has advanced document and image editing functions already built-in: it's a complete web editing solution!
    • The ability to load and save remote files is a big time saver if you're constantly updating your sites that are already live on the Internet.
    • Handy built-in JavaScript wizards save you lots of time and can give your site that extra bit of creative flair in as little as thirty seconds.
    • Includes powerful support for accessing local or remote databases using a direct connection or system DSN's. The data in these databases can be manipulated to be part of a HTML form or even a sophisticated, dynamically generated chart or graph.
    Con's:
    • Lacks an integrated HTML 4 tutorial or reference guide.
    • Doesn't include any pre-created sites to play around with.
    • Needs more advanced database access tutorials and maybe a page of links to sites that show users how to work with and create databases effectively.
    Overall Rating

Namo WebEditor 5Overall, I give WebEditor 5 nine and a half stars out of ten. I would recommend it to anyone interested in web development and databases including beginners, intermediate users, and expert web developers alike. Its built-in time saving features are just to good to live without. It's a must have!

Namo WebEditor 5 can either be downloaded online for $139 USD, or ordered/purchased boxed for $149 USD. For more information on WebEditor 5 or to purchase, you can visit http://www.namo.com
