Polish is to Shoe, as Detail is to Website - Color, Color, Color, and Some More Color

The first detail we must talk about is the colors. The colors of your website play a huge role in the details of your website because colors stimulate different emotions in the brain. Four popular colors to use with web sitesare blue, red, black, and silver.

    • Blue: Blue conveys importance and confidence without being somber or sinister, hence the blue power suit of the corporate world and the blue uniforms of police officers.

    • Red: Red is power, hence the red power tie for business people and the red carpet for celebrities and VIPs (very important people).

    • Black: Use black to convey elegance, sophistication, or perhaps a touch of mystery. Dark charcoal gray and very dark brown can sometimes stand in for black.

    • Silver: Silver is cool, like gray, but livelier, more playful. Silver can be sleek and modern or impart a feeling of ornate riches.

Colors are important. In fact, if a color is used wrong it can and will scare off potential customers or visitors. Yes, just the colors ALONE! Now, I’m not saying NEVER use purple, lime, bright blue, or any colors that are not above OR your site will look extremely scary, but I’m saying use them with the fact firmly in mind that if they are over used, or do not complement other colors, then your website (no matter how good the content is) will never be as good as your competitor, who has sleek details along with sleek conent.
