QContacts

QContacts is originally derived from the standard com_contact component in Joomla and comes with several additional features to give you the ability to include a well-rounded setup on your site for contacts and feedback. 

You may want to have various fields in your contact form.  If so, QContacts can help, as it allows you to add up to six custom fields.  You can classify them as required or optional and customize the order in which they appear.  Contact fields for Yahoo Messenger and Skype ID can be added either in plain text or active links for quicker interactions.  The overall design of your contact form can be tweaked to include drop-down lists, check boxes, text fields, text areas, or radio buttons. 

To protect against spam, CAPTCHA verification can be added.  CAPTCHA style can be adjusted in terms of color, image size, font, and code length to give the desired amount of protection.  For a personal touch, QContacts gives you the option to include a customizable thank you page that appears after a user inputs and submits data to your site.  To accommodate global users, there are various language packs available.

Rapid Contact

Rapid Contact will supply you with one of the simpler contact forms around.  Then again, simple is not always a bad thing.   It's a good extension if you want to put a standard contact form on your site that will allow someone to subscribe to your newsletter or perhaps send you a question or comment.  The contact form has fields for email, subject, and message.  After the user fills out the fields and hits send, you will receive the message. 

All you need to do to use Rapid Contact is to install it and change the mail recipient.  In addition to the base form, you also get some other options.  You can implement a simple question-answer field to prevent spam.  For instance, it will ask the user how many eyes a typical person has, or how many fingers are on a hand.  The user will have to provide the answer to ensure that they are not a spam bot.  Other options include custom HTML and a thank you page redirect.

JComments

JComments is one Joomla extension for contacts and feedback that is loaded with features and flexibility.  The installation and setup is quick and painless, and once it is ready to go, you can customize the comments system on your site perfectly.  Administrators will be informed of new comments, and so will users who have subscribed to the discussion.  You can toggle the comments system on and off for certain categories and also publish comments from existing users' groups.  The display order and overall organization of how your comments appear can also be tweaked to your liking.

Additional features of the JComments extension include multilingual support to make your site more globally friendly.  There's spambot and flood protection with CAPTCHA to keep your comments legitimate as well.  Extra protection has also been integrated to protect your users' email address from spambots.  Control is also given over the length of usernames, the length of comments, user logins, and more.  JComments supports smiles, BBCode, and avatars too to give comments more of a personalized touch.  Migration from third party components is supported, as is integration with third party extensions.  The aforementioned are just a fraction of the extension's features, which shows just how well-rounded it is.
