Using Adobe GoLive CS, Part 1 - The Colors Tab (Page 12 of 14 )
The Colors tab of the site window is a special place for you to designate the color scheme of your sites. You create colors there that you can then reuse throughout your site to color text, tables, and more. To create a site color, click the Colors tab of the site window, and then do one of the following:
Click the Site set of Objects in the Objects palette, and then drag and drop a Color icon into the External tab.
Click the Site set of Objects in the Objects palette, and then double-click the Color icon.
(Control-click) [right-click] in the Colors tab, and select New Color from the menu.
Choose Site, New, Color from the main menu bar.
After placing a color object into the Colors tab, select it and assign it a color, either by clicking a color in the Swatches palette or by mixing a color in the Color palette. You can rename the color either in the Colors tab or via the Inspector palette.
To add colors already used in your site to the list in the Color tab, choose Site, Get Colors Used. Similarly, you can remove unused colors from the list in the tab by choosing Site, Remove Unused Colors. To delete a color from the list, select it and click the Trash button in the Main toolbar, or invoke the contextual menu for the selected color and choose Delete.
Colors listed in the Colors tab also make an appearance in the Swatches palette. Put a few colors into the Colors tab, then Choose Window, Swatches to open the Swatches palette. Click the palette menu button (the right-facing arrow in a circle at the upper right of the palette) and choose Site Colors (see Figure 9.22). Notice that the colors are the same as those in the Colors tab.
Figure 9.22 Colors assigned in the Colors tab will also appear in the Site Colors section of the Swatches palette.
