AviaSlider Ė jQuery Slideshow

The value of the AviaSlider jQuery plugin comes from the fact that it offers plenty of flexibility while remaining user-friendly.  Itís lightweight in size at only 8kb and works across the major different browsers.

AviaSlider comes with eight unique transition effects but also gives you the option to create your own effects.  This alone makes it a great plugin for a wide variety of projects.  Other highlights include support for linked images, an autoplay function, an integrated image pre-loader for improved functionality, plus prettyPhoto lightbox.

Getting back on the topic of the unique transition effects offered by AviaSlider, here they are: diagonal blocks (slides from top left to bottom right and vice versa), winding blocks (blocks fill in row after row), randomized blocks (blocks fade in using a random patter), dropping curtain (columns drop in from top to bottom or vice versa), fading curtain (rows fade in from left to right or vice versa), fading top curtain (rows fade from top to bottom and vice versa), fullwidth fade slider (a basic slider that stretches the full width of the image), and direction fade slider (a fade slider ideal for new browsers that fades with direction.)  No matter which transition effect you select, they are all very smooth and unique and can give your site a major aesthetic boost.
