Hopefully this article has shown you how simple it is to incorporate the FileSystemWatcher class into your application.

Here are few things that you could do with FileSystemWatcher class:
  • Import a file the moment it is copied/uploaded to a particular folder
  • Recreate a file if the file is deleted
  • Notify all applications -- depending upon a file -- the moment a file is renamed, deleted or updated
