Creating an HTML File List with VB

Visual BasicYou just got that shiny new digital camera, and then you downloaded a bunch of digital pictures to your computer. Next you want to create a simple Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) file so that you can burn the picture and HTML files to a CD that you can send to all your friends and family.  How do you do this without having to manually code the HTML file? The following instructions will show you how.

Creating an HTML File List with VB - Compiling the File and Wrapping Up
(Page 5 of 5 )

  1. Save the project and form file
  2. Press F5 to compile and run the application
  3. If you want to make an executable file
    1. Click File (on the Menu bar),
    2. Then click Make CatalogHTML.exe

If there are no errors, this will create an HTMLCatalog.EXE that you can use on your computer.

I may add other features to this program later, such as directory searching instead of the text box, so stay tuned to Dev Articles!

If you wish to have the VB files emailed to you, email me at twhaight@yahoo.com.
