Hi 5: Part 3 - Conclusion

Databases form the heart of any dynamic web site. So the more efficient the database, the more successful the website will become. The use of the Normalisation Process optimises the database so that you can maximise its benefits.

I suggest that when you have completed the Normalisation Process, run a series of queries to test the speed of your database transactions. This will get you more familiar with the new complex database that has undergone optimisation.

This will prepare you for the next phase graphic design where server side coding meets layout design and graphic design principles.
